    Vision & Aims

Since the Award was established in 1999, more than 22,000 young people have received the Diana Award, whilst a further 8,000 have been presented with the Diana Anti-Bullying Award. We have also developed an Ambassadors Programme for our Award Holders and established Regional Networks for them.

We want to do even more.

Our vision is to grow as the leading organisation giving public recognition to young people who make a selfless contribution to their schools and communities, and to offer them valuable opportunities to develop their full potential as active citizens within our society.

To achieve this vision, we aim to do the following:

    • Further establish the Diana Award as a unique, generic, accessible and inclusive award for children and young people who display outstanding qualities by their contributions to – and impact on – their schools, their communities and society as a whole.
    • Provide opportunities to help Award Holders develop as role models and make even greater contributions for the common good.
    • Secure the Award’s future by positioning it as the foremost and most prestigious award for young people, and have it recognised as such by Government, opinion formers, potential donors and future employers.
    • Enrich the Award and encourage greater participation by raising Award Holders’ profile as young people who make a valuable and positive contribution to the wider.

Young people are at the heart of everything we do, so we also have the internal aim of making youth participation central to our working culture and strategic development.

Help us to achieve our vision by nominating a young person or group of young people for an Award or becoming a partner organisation. We would love to work with you.
